後鼻孔は長く管状になる
体はトラ模様になる

後鼻孔の背面に頭部側線管孔が１つあるため
目の上に大小の小さな白点が２つある様に見える
背鰭と尻鰭は尾端付近にある

主に夜行性だが、日中から活発に活動する
